Day 138 - For Athena Orchard

I read this article today and was inspired by this young, innocent, soul taken too soon. Positivity in the face of agony and pain must take a lot of courage. I can't put myself in her shoes, or know what she went through, but I can follow her lead and remain positive throughout life's ups and downs.

I know this post is a bit of a break from the typical, but I know my baby has a heart that understand mine.

I see my reflection,
In the morning, everyday,
I know I'm slowly dying,
But that's not what my mirror says

Inside there is a story,

Filled with life and love,
Happiness there to guide me,
With prayers sent above.
There may not be a happy ending,
As the pain in me unfolds,
But every day we have is special,
So I make the most and take control.

You know, life is only bad,
If you let it get that way,
We all have our chances,
So live a life of purpose everyday.

Life, it is a game,
With love it's special prize,
Once you win, open your heart,
Through all the lows and highs.

Now you know my name,
And the words that I write,
But the real me's here inside,
Writing the happy story of my life.

Day 137 - To Never Know Love

Sleepless nights,
Long flights,
I keep on running to you.

It's hard times,
Such a crime,
Being separated from you.

I'm out of breath,
Coming down the stretch,
But this is a fight I won't lose.

Each day we close,
So we can expose,
The dream of a future untold.

While distance hurts,
It could be worse,
To never know love at all.

Day 136 - Dry Your Eyes

I know you cry,
Late at night,
Missing me,
A tough fight to fight.

I'll do all that I can,
To dry your pretty eyes,
Eternally your man,
No more sad goodbyes.

We'll do all that lovers do,
Talk and touch and play,
Love will grow us two,
Each and every day.

Day 135 - The Show

I'm tuned in to a good show,
A love story with a sad twist,
Boy love girls,
Girl love boy,
But miles separate their hearts.

What will it take for them to be together?
How far will they have to journey?
Will they have the energy to continue each day?
Can the conquer each obstacle with just passion and faith?

So many unanswered questions,
Right from the start.
Love will not stand idle,
It may sit and wait,
But it pounces when it is right time.

I think this show can only get better,
Cliff hangers aside,
There will be laughable moment,
Tears of happiness and some sad,
But in the end the boy always gets the girl.

Day 134 - A Day

Not a day goes by,
Without me thinking of you.

Not an hour goes by,
That I don't hear your laugh,

Not a minute goes by,
Where I don't see your smile.

Not a second passes,
Without a wish of being with you.

Day 133 - The Way to Your Heart

How far is it to your heart?
Can I run,
Can I jump,
Is it just over the hillside?

Will you show me the way?
Lead me,
Guide me,
Let me inside when arrive?

How long can I stay?
For a minute,
For a year,
Or until the end of time?

Will you let me shower you in love?
Bring you happiness,
A life of joy,
Completing a life most can only dream?

Day 132 - How Long Will You Love me

How long will you love me?
Until the stars fall from the sky.

How long will I love you?
Until the salt dries up the sea.

Through every season,
I'll give you a reason,
To love only me,

In so many ways,
Through all of our days,
You're the only girl I'll see.

There will be no other,
And we'll rediscover,
Our love every day.

I may drive you crazy,
And you may be lazy,
But love forgives in every way.
