Shades pulled,
Darkness explodes.

Candle lit,
Here I sit,
Quietly alone.

Painted walls,
Down dark halls,
Echo loneliness.

Reckless thoughts,
Mind lost,
What to do?

Rainy night,
Lightning strikes,
I see you.

Pretty face,
Infectious laugh,
Tears fall.

Missing you,
Feeling weak,
Try to sleep.

In dreams,
You're there,
Comfort I need.
