In 40 days and 40 nights,
Dreams will come to life.
A pretty girl, a hand to hold,
Kisses, wherever we go.

We'll take our smiles out for a walk,
A quiet time where we can talk.
Shop windows on the square,
Soaking in the holiday cheer.

So many hours cuddled tight,
On those cold and rainy nights.
We'll keep so nice and warm,
Creating a fire from our love storm.

So much to do in just ten days,
I'll wish forever I could stay.
Let's enjoy the laughs and have fun,
Just being each other's number one.

Day 292 - Carry Me Away

My window stays busy,
People passing on by,
Heading somewhere,
Places they need to be,
People the want to see.

I slowly die inside,
Knowing where I need to be,
The person I want to see,
Is not sitting here,
I'm staring out my window alone.

The view is pretty,
This time of year,
Leaves turning color,
Falling from the trees,
Breezes carrying them away.

I wish the wind would pick up,
Lift me off my feet,
Gently push me East,
Across the cold ocean blue,
In to the warm arms of you.

Day 290 - Distant

The Earth moves,
Round and round,
Here on the ground,
I'm never closer to you.

Day 288 - One Day

I write for you,
For me,
Expressing dreams.

My heart is open,
Life's desires,
For all to see.

My words,
Tell of destiny,
You next to me.

I reach out,
Grasp hold of air,
Nothing there.

You see me,
Arms stretching,
Forever reaching.

One day,
Hands will meet,
Never release.

Day 286 - Lucky

I'm lucky,
I found love,
In a tiny corner,
Of this big world.

Our hearts,
They fell hard,
Right in to,
Our waiting arms.

Starting slow,
We were two,
We grew,
Into one.

We've made,
Days brighter,
Nights warmer,
Smiles bigger.

There's miles,
Between us now,
But we remain,
Closer than ever.

A bit reserved,
Just taking life all in,
