Day 196 - Another 24

Journal Square,
Filled with it's history,
Shrouded in mystery,
Is the loneliest of places,
When you're saying goodbye.

Empty rooms with a past,
Cardboard in place of glass.
Being stared at,
Just for walking past,
But I love you, so who cares.

Little shops full of spices,
Aisles packed with rices,
I'm lost in another land,
When you take my hand,
Guiding me back to our reality

Miles of stained concrete,
Without a hint of green trees,
Makes me wonder why,
Am I letting you say goodbye,
When all I want is you next to me.

The clock tower is not on our side,
Minutes keep ticking by,
If I could just jump up there,
Through the curry filled air,
We'd have another 24 hours to spare.
