Day 129 - Happiness

Happiness isn't sitting on mounds of money,
Driving around in $100,000 cars,
Cruising up the coast in a million dollar yacht.
Owning an island? That's not for me.
Mansions you visit once a year,
There is no happiness to be found there.

Happiness is lending a helping hand,
To someone scraping by on the ground.
Mentoring a child to do their best,
No matter if their parents can't help themselves.
Offer a smile to someone having a bad day,
You might just be able to turn it all around.

Loving thy neighbor is happiness in it's purest form,
While my love for others is strong,
My love for you rages deep inside each day,
Presenting itself in moments of laughter,
Uncontrollable smiles thinking of memories we've made,
And a calm soul going forward into a future unknown.
