Day 252 - Yours

All I am,
All I want to be,
Is yours.

Day 251 - Dance

The next time we meet,
Let's dance in the street,
As rains pours on down.
We can dance up the Quay,
Show all those that see,
What love's all about.
We'll make up our own song,
As we move right along,
Into the wide open world.
Holding hands, you and me,
We are all we can be,
Until rain forever, stops falling down.

Day 250 - Reflection

I see me,
A different me,
These grey hairs,
Once weren't there,
The lines,
Those creases,
Are never ceasing.
Tiredness shows,
In shadowy eyes,
I'm barely getting by.
Lips down-turned,
Hard to find a smile,
This was never my style.
Someone tell me,
What happened here?
A young man,
Has disappeared.
My energy,
While not wasted,
Appears misplaced.
I can't find the time,
To stop and think,
Life, it's moving,
Faster than I blink.
My body pains,
Deep inside,
A painful guide,
To what's next on this ride.
Even still,
As I stare,
My lungs, they fill with air,
A wonderful sign,
That I am alive,
That I will survive,
Another day,
Where I get to say,
I love you,
More today,
Than yesterday.

Day 249 - Just Beginning

Been on a little hiatus, but I am back now. My girl has seen and done so much over the past two weeks in her new country of Ireland. I am jealous and wish I could join her immediately. Here is a little of what she has shared with me.

I miss my girl,
She's in her new world,
Making friends,
Can't wait to see her again.

She's impressing everyone,
Enjoying setting suns,
Walking amongst the trees,
In a small town by the sea.

Pretty balloons filled with air,
Float above without a care,
Blue skies stretch side to side,
The place will open all eyes wide.

She's learned to cook and clean,
Become an independent queen.
Discount shopping with a friend,
Striking up conversations with Arab men.

She has a roommate she tries to hide,
But she has taken it all in stride,
Laying own her own rules,
Being smart and staying cool.

This strength I see, I admire,
A sweet soul on fire,
It burns there so brightly, I see,
All that's missing is me.

Day 241 - The Dark

So much happens in the dark,
Sometimes it's silence,
Sometimes there is a spark.
There are times alone you cry,
So many unknown noises,
Afraid to open your eyes.
Some days you will toss and turn,
Wishing you can just fall asleep,
And all those useless thoughts just burn.
It's great when there is someone to hold,
A warm body pressed tightly on yours,
A mattress perfectly shaped to your mold.
Some people talk in their sleep,
Saying things they don't even mean,
Lovers wondering if they're out being creeps.
For me, I always see my angel lying there,
Dreaming her love stories,
Where her Prince Charming appears.

Day 240 - Tired

Tonight I am tired,
I can't think straight,
My head pounds,
My eyes are heavy,
I just want to sleep,
But I push on,
Trying to finish this work,
Which may bring us together.
I love you.

Day 239 - So Close

We are so close,
I can taste it.
So very near,
To arms holding,
Lips kissing,
Hands holding,
Bodies touching.
Just thinking about it,
Makes my heart skip.
I'm so excited,
And like the song,
I can't hide it.
I'm happy,
Joyous,
Filled with faith.
I'm ready to turn the page,
Enter the next chapter,
Filled with so much love,
It will make women swoon,
And most men sick.

Day 238 - My All

I learned a long time ago,
To give her your all,
If your heart is full in love.
Buy her those flowers,
On your way home from work,
Hold her hand every chance you can,
Always stare deep in to her eyes,
And kiss her lips no matter where you are.
Surprise her with a night out,
Dancing like you've never danced.
Support her in all that she is,
In all that she does.
Always be there for her,
In good times and bad,
Respect her wishes,
But challenge her to do more,
Be better,
Be the best she can be.
Love her always,
Through thick and thin,
Through mistakes and anger,
Brush them off to reveal the truth,
That nothing,
No one,
Will ever break you apart.

Dream.
Hope.
Wish.
Pray.
Love.

Day 236 - Hold Tight

You stole my pain away,
Haven't seen it since we met that day.
Been feeling so happy and free,
No ball and chain following me.
I love this grip you have on my heart,
The pulses out of control from the start.
You were able to harness them with grace,
Holding on, through this grueling race.
All that I am, now lies there in your hands,
If you drop me, I'll bounce right back like a rubber-band.

Day 235 - I Feel Like That

I'm proud of you,
Happy for you,
So much in love with you,
Can't wait to be with you.
You make me feel like,
I'm dancing on a rainbow,
After finding my pot of gold.
Flying high on a heart shaped rocket,
Jumping around on moon beams.
Swimming in a river of dreams,
Watching all of them come true.
Yeah, I feel like that,
Every time we speak,
Every time we touch,
Every time I close my eyes,
Where I dream of you.

Day 234 - New World

That hunk of steel,
Will carry you safely,
To your new world.
Full of green fields,
Cliffs of sandstone,
Rivers of whiskey and beer.
You have three years,
Studying to be the best,
Filling minds with success.
We've missed some kisses,
Wished on many wishes,
Now dreams are coming true.
They say tomorrow is uncertain,
But that is not entirely true,
My tomorrows keep pointing to you.

Day 233 - Broken Rules

We missed the dates,
The nervousness,
The awkward first kiss.
There's been no fights,
No jealousy,
No animosity.
We broke the rules,
Fell in love,
And here we are,
Ready for eternity.

Day 232 - Faith

You are blessed,
You have blessed me.
We are happy.
We will succeed,
Be together,
Enjoy happy moments,
Partake in fun,
Celebrate special times,
Fight through the bad,
Keeping a focus on love,
Giving and receiving,
Trust is strong,
Faith is stronger.

Day 230 - All I Am

All I am,
Theses bones,
This skin,
Blood in my veins,
Are out of control.
They're burning,
Itching,
Writhing,
To be with you.
I keep scratching,
Incessantly,
To ease the pain,
No relief,
Just hope and dreams.
My heart,
System control,
It's weak,
It aches,
Yearning for you.
One touch,
A cure,
Freedom,
For the soul.

Day 229 - Wanted

I want little notes,
In the lunch you make for me.
Lipstick stains,
On my best white shirt.
Long days,
Together by each other's side
Sleepless nights,
Planning out our wildest dreams.
Whispered secrets,
In the most public of places.
Sweet kisses,
As we hike up on the ridge,
Holding your hand,
Window shopping on Dublin streets.
Groovin' slowly,
To music on a rain day.
Cuddling close,
On cold winter mornings.
Sharing life,
With my one and only.

Day 228 - Our Way

It may take us a year,
To get to that special day,
But this is true love,
And we will find our way.

Day 227 - Ocean of Love

My love is an ocean,
Let the sun soak it up,
And the clouds rain it down,
All over you.

Day 226 - From Afar

Missing you is my daily routine,
It's just as tough as it seems.
To love someone from afar,
Is like keeping wishes in a jar.
You know they are always there,
You just can't breath them in the air.

Day 225 - It's No Mystery

Some see us as a mystery,
They don't know our history.
Their minds are closed to distance,
Can't fight temptations, weak resistance.
We are stronger than those I guess,
Maybe you could say we are blessed.
We found each other among the crowds,
Two lost souls floating in the clouds.
We grabbed ahold of each other's hand,
A divine beginning we couldn't have planned.
Now it seems there is always something in our way,
We keep pushing through each and every day.
We've committed to be together as one,
Forever and always, until this life is done.

Day 224 - Love's Spell

I used to think my heart was cracked and broken,
Then your smile and laugh pried it wide open.
Maybe I threw enough coins in the wishing well,
Was granted my wish of being under love's spell.
I'm not even out looking for a cure or remedy,
Neutralizing a heart, I wouldn't wish upon my enemy.
Although we are taking the long way around this world,
Fate is wholly on the side of this boy and girl.
While some people only live love through dreams or memories,

I will keep mine forever in my sight, right next to me.
